New Guinea impatiens do best in morning sun and afternoon shade. If the soil is dry or temperatures are extreme, they will need up to a half-day of shade or they may not bloom as well. The best outdoor location will have morning sun and afternoon shade, such as in an eastern exposure.
New Guinea Impatiens in hanging baskets bring vibrant color to any space with their large flowers in shades of pink, red, orange, purple, and white. Preferring partial shade and well-drained soil, they're ideal for covered areas. With regular watering and occasional deadheading, they bloom continuously throughout the season, requiring minimal maintenance.
