Glenbard South Boosters raises funds and plans events to enrich the student experience at Glenbard South High School. Membership fees paid by families, teachers, administrators, and the community support a wide variety of programs at Glenbard South including athletics, academics, and clubs.
We need over 30 committee members and hundreds of volunteers to manage and participate in the numerous Boosters events and initiatives taking place throughout the year.
Our goal is to have over 500 Boosters members in the 2022-2023 school year
ABOUT GLENBARD SOUTH BOOSTERS
Last year, over $55,000 was raised and donated to Glenbard South student programs thanks to the involvement and generosity of Glenbard South families and community members.
In addition to raising funds and supporting GBS student programs, Boosters helps foster school and community spirit through volunteerism and participation in school events and programs.
2022-2023 Booster Highlights:
Fundraising: Donated over $55,000 for student programs
Volunteerism: Donated over 11,000 collective hours
Scholarships: Funded 5 scholarships for graduating GBS seniors
Concessions: Staffed and managed concessions for 100+ games, tournaments, and competitions
Raider Wear: Sold over $10,500 in Raider merchandise
Floral Symphony: Hosted this annual community event to raise over $9,000 for the music department
Community: Hosted a community-wide plant sale, honored past volunteers (Weinstein Awards), and provided support for Vision & Hearing Screening and Valentines for Vets
Teacher Appreciation: Hosted an appreciation luncheon for GBS teachers and administration
Senior Celebration: Hosted a farewell fest for Seniors on the final day of school
